I am a kindergarten teacher that has a passion for Cinderella stories and my students and I agree this is one of our favorites! It has the traditional theme with a 'Western' touch. You will want to share it with others and have one copy for library! GREAT READ!

Joe Cinders' three lazy stepbrothers, Butch, Buck and Bart Bronco, spend their days counting buzzards in the sky while poor Joe, an orphan, does all the chores. When pretty Miss Rosalinda invites them to a fall fiesta at her ranch, the three brothers decide to go.

That night, as raggedy Joe is out watching the herd, a man with 'baggy old overalls, a wool serape, and a crooked stick in his hand' appears out of the darkness amid 'sparks swirling like dust devils.' He provides Joe with some fancy new duds, a four-wheeled 'bronco' and instructions to leave when the midnight fireworks begin. And, well, we all know the rest' (Substitute red cowboy boot for glass slipper.)

This book's charm lies in the author's clever use of Westernisms and its light-hearted illustrations.

This is a great retelling of the classic Cinderella story. It has some really funny cowboy type humor, yet keeps that fairy tale feel throughout. The pictures are filled with many little details that I missed the first time through. This is one book you'll want to read again and again.

My six year old daughter has enjoyed this book for three years. The rhythmic cadence is contagious, the images dance, the swirling type is fun. This is one of our all-time favorites! If a six year old can read it - with it's changing typefaces and innovative layout - then anyone can! We are going to donate it to our school library.

The message is wonderful and important. The style is definitely different and very clever; flowing lines, crazy fonts, great graphics and bright colors. It's not hard to read at all. It's definitely not boring. It even seems like there are pictures hidden on each page, giving you something new to discover each time you read it. Absolutely Wonderful!!

I love this book!!! How could I ever exclaim its merits with only 1000 word or less... Everything about it is top notch! The quality of the book/paper/cover, the explosion of color on every page, the amazing and amusing way inwhich the words dance across each page and, most of all, the very important lesson that comes to life in this valuable story - "Don't judge a book by its cover". There is powerful magic to the rhythm and rhyme of the lymeric that never gets old. My heart soars when he asks me to read it. It gets so many requests that it is the only book that never gets put away! There is NOTHING hard about reading this book! The words flow naturally and after a first time through you'll find so much joy in it that you will start to commit it to memory by accident!!! The most difficult thing is the fact that you get to keep moving the book around because the words spiral and dance - WE LOVE IT!!! And I bet you will too!!! - Phil

This 5 book series is the premier series on the market today. A very thorough foundation can be layed through this series of books.

There are already a number of good "paramedic textbooks" on the market today but they do lack the depth that is required to produce fully capable paramedics. A 1500 pg book just isn't enough to equip a paramedic with the necessary tools to provide advanced care in the field. it's also a pain to the students who have to buy numerous supplementary titles to make up for what's not in the book. This 5 book series does a lot to reduce the need for supplementary books, though the need is still there. With over 2700p. of information this series has to be the leading in the industry.

Every text has good intro and patient assessment areas but lack in the trauma/medical/special section. This book provides a great section on each of those titles. The cardiology section is much improved from past books. I found that much of the information in the medical and trauma sections are taken straight from AMLS and BTLS/PHTLS texts. It seems with every new version of book that the need for specific area books is reducing. I no longer even read my BTLS book because it's all covered in this series.

With clear art work and pictures it's easy to grasp the concept on many of the more difficult issues and topics. The wording used makes the books even more user friendly. The "key" items that are outlined in the margins are very helpful. I wasn't sure about how well the information would be layed out when I first read the outlines but it was actually beneficial to the learning process to cover things like advanced airway, early.

These books are not cheap, but they are the best on the market that I've seen. I am very happy with these 5 volumes. The industry has produces many excellent paramedics and that can only increase with books like these.

These books need to be seriously reviewed by paramedic instructors and institutions to see if they would be most beneficial to the students. Unlike many paramedic programs, since these sections are broken into 5 different books, you don't need to lug that 1000+ pg book to class every day for months or years.

I love these titles more than any other paramedic texts in my library.Somebody finally thought to break the books down into smaller sections. I was getting really strong lugging around massive books, but this is a nice relief. Thanks to Dr Bledsoe and other writers for making revolutionary texts like these to help aid the profession and raise the bar for all of us.

The fact that the package arrived at my Toronto home just 5 business days after I placed the order was an added bonus.

An Excellent set that finally manages to cover all the topics needed for a firm foundation in Paramedicine. Explainations and visuals are insync with each other, alot of other Paramedic books out there are quite confusing. Topics covered are relative to the field and explained as straight forward as medicine can get. Paramedic books are often overwelling in presentation or they lack general knowledge and information needed. It was a organized wonderfully and easy to find selective topic. Great for old and new EMS personel. Many Paramedic courses have adopted this 5 volume set as their main text. Brady has provided an excellent informational and educational set of text books. My Basic book was not as easy as these are to take in. Brady created 5 great volumes; Introduction to adavance prehospital care, Patient assesment, Medical Emergencies, Trauma Emergencies and Special Considerations / Operations. They had an excellent staff to compose such high quality textbooks. You can't go wrong with this set of books!

Once again, Bledsoe, et. al., have done a magnificent job. I am a working paramedic, and I purchased Paramedic Care to get up to speed on the new curriculum. I am impressed. I believe emergency physicians could even learn something from this series.

I am very pleased to see the expansion of the scope of practice for paramedics. The credibility of EMS professionals continues to grow - due in part to Bledsoe, et. al., and the many, many students who have learned from their textbooks.

I was not aware of an inquisition in Mexico. Growing up in the U.S. our history lessons were obviously limited! The Jewish people have historically been persecuted and misunderstood. This wonderful accounting of factual historical information, intertwined with a tender romantic scenario is well worth reading! I couldn't put it down!

The practical exercises in the Christian traditions are useful, and cause growth. (Romans 12:2) This book is useful for any spiritual formation group and increases awareness of need to grow in Discipleship. Have used exercises in my Walk to Emmaus(spiritual formation/accountability) reunion group--leads to Christian action.

This book will help you discover where you need more balance in your Christian walk. As you learn to practice the 6 different traditions; social, contemplative, holiness, charismatic, evangelical, and incarnational, your walk with the Lord will become more balanced. This has been a life-changing study for me!

This is a very good book for starting a Bible study that is labor intensive versus study intensive. I do recommended this for all people to lead after they have to a personal study with Celebration of Discipline materials. To my knowledge, this version is out of print because it has been revised and replaces by ISBN 0062516264. This new book includes the sixth tradition of incarnationalism. Also recommended.

This book brings together a wonderful collection of visual images of travel trailers from the late 1920s through the 1950s. The images come from vintage photographs, publicity brochures, and other publications. A majority of the materials come from the collections of the University of Southern California, the Auto Club of Southern California, and Vintage Vacations (a California travel trailer restoration company). The quality of the image reproduction is excellent making this book a genuine feast for the eyes.
Although subtitled "A Visual History Of Mobile America," the majority of pictures are from California with the rest of the country only sketchily represented if at all. Florida is the only other state to have more than one or two pictures included.
The book has eight chapters. Each begins with one page of text consisting of three paragraphs. The rest of the chapters are illustrations with captions and quotes. The first chapter "Motor Camping" has some of the earliest photos and portrays the beginnings of the travel trailer craze. The second chapter "Selling The dream" contains a collection of illustrations from brochures and advertisements. "Wish You Were Here," the third chapter, is a collection of postcards both humorous and illustrative. The fourth chapter "Trailer Shows" contains pictures from various California trailer shows. Pictures of the latest trailer designs are often enhanced by including attractive female models. "Take A Look Inside" is the next chapter which portrays the interior furnishings of travel trailers. Again attractive female models often enhance the photos. "I've Got This Idea" is a chapter that captures some of the more inventive and original travel trailer designs. A whole chapter is devoted to "Trailer Logos." It was in this chapter that I found the only reference to my 1948 trailer made in Alma, Michigan.
The book ends with a chapter on "Teardrops," compact trailers with outdoor kitchens built into a back hatch. A one page bibliography provides both current and historic books and articles for further reading. A joyful coffee table book, light on text, but very rich on illustrations, that is eye candy for the trailer park crowd.

I am so happy that there is finally a book about this part of American pop culture that has been largely ignored! I had no idea that so many amazing pictures have survived all these years. The graphics are wonderful and I love all of the logos. Great book.

It really is a great little book. The endless pictures are the selling point as I could (and have) look at them again & again!

If you like trailers, or 50's Americana Camp this is a great book.

Like some other reviewers, I am currently looking for a teaching position. I ordered this book and found it had very good information on where to find jobs, how to write a resume, and how to answer possible interview questions. I would say the resume part was the most useful so far, as few resume books have examples of teacher resumes. From the examples provided I was able to construct a more condensed resume from the three-page one I previously had.

However, the jury is out in so far as whether I will be able to obtain employment in the field even with this advice. The reason I did not give this book five stars is that there was not a whole lot of information for those people who are changing careers in mid-life. Most of the emphasis seemed directed at those traditional college age graduates with little or no employment experience.

I found this book to be a must have for all teachers. As a recent graduate with a teaching degree, I was nervous about finding the right teaching job for me. I used the techniques and suggestions in the book. I was offered a job from my very first teaching interview.

I just got this book and have only flipped through it, but already I can tell it will be a great asset. I am a recent graduate with a teaching degree. Our last year we had several seminars and workshops on interviews and finding a job. I have notes scattered all over the place. This book puts all the same info in one place and a whole lot more. Really great interview tips. Lots of potential questions and what not to do or say during an interview. I can't wait to read this book in depth! A definite "must have" in the increasing competitiveness of the teaching job market!

Definately a Christian-oriented book, super religious, but if that is for you, this was a nice, gentle introduction to homeschooling andlearning about things that interest the child. Nice pictures

I am going to star thomeschooling my 4 year old next fall and wanted to introduce her to the idea. With this book, I think it captures the idea in a nice, comforting way and shows the child that homeschooling can be fun! Loved the biblical passages, too.

I was so delighted to find a book about a character who is about to begin school at home rather than going off to school! And this book has wonderfully fun sound effects ("BOING!" and "CREAK,") which add to the read-aloud experience. Also, the book captured the essence of homeschooling wonderfully - that it is a fun, low-stress way to learn. I hope that this author writes more children's books with homeschooled characters.

it still takes a back-seat to R. P. Hunnicut's exhaustive and complete book, "Pershing: a History of the Medium Tank".

What this slender book does have is some good info (little of which is new) and a lot of excellent, clear pictures. It's an excellent reference on the tank and a worthy addition to the series.

The M26 Pershing was the US Army's belated answer to the German Panther and Tiger tanks. Until the invasion of France the US thought their "Tank Destroyer" arm would defend against Nazi armor while the obsolescent Sherman tank would be used to exploit breakthroughs. The close fighting in the hedgerow country of Normandy showed the flaws in this policy and urgent requests went out for a better armed and better protected tank. The Ordnance dDepartment's answer was the T26E3 (later M26) which had been in development. The tank, nicknamed "Pershing", was rushed into production and early examples arrived in Europe late in the war. The Pershing also proved to be a powerful asset in Korea when facing the Soviet T34 tanks used by North Korea.

The recent release of a model of America's M26 Pershing tank led to several new books coming out on this little-know armored vehicle. If I have to choose only one of the new crop I would pick this one. Mr. Zaloga is a dedicated researcher and is very knowledgeable on combat vehicles and their histories. In a thumbnail Zaloga traces development of the new tank and then looks at how the Pershing was used in WW2 and Korea.

For a modest price the reader gets a history of the tank and color scheme information. The Osprey Vanguards are not meant to be the "final word" on any vehicle, but serve as modestly priced, readily available references. This is one of the best in that series.

This tank could have made a great diferens in een early ending of the war. This book makes this statement.

It contains the most simple and basic code that any one can handle, even if you are not very skillful with C, you can follow the text. It is very well developed and for begginers is just great.

All the code in "Practical Data Structures in C++" is provided to the student/programmer and not left as an exercise to the "student." I found the book "very" useful after I had taken an introductory "Data Structures" course. I purchased this book at the time where templetes were not implemented in Microsoft Visual C++; therefore, I do not know whether the included code will build with any specific compiler though I suspect that it will build with the latest MS compiler and the Borland products. This book is for the "working programmer" who has not looked at a topic since the required Data Structures course work. This book provides a very good review as well as complete example(s) of working "code snipets."
